TRAINING VISIT TO THE NETHERLANDS

T H WHITE Machinery Imports was delighted to organise a visit to the Briggs and Stratton Centre of Excellence in the Netherlands recently for Groundcare staff at dealer partner Ernest Doe & Sons Ltd.

16 delegates from Ernest Doe’s Groundcare division visited the Briggs and Stratton facility in Roermond, to learn more about the full range of Ferris products now available through the new UK importer and distributor, T H WHITE Machinery Imports Ltd.

During the trip, the team was given a tour of the extensive facilities as well as business updates from Clive Carter, General Manager for the Ferris, Wright and Spider brands at T H WHITE, and Gerd Jan-Driessen, Business Development Manager for Ferris Commercial Products. On hand to provide detailed sales training on all the Ferris products were Dennie Smeets and Tony Doe, who gave an extensive analysis of the ICD deck system and patented IS suspension system.

Ernest Doe’s groundcare team was also treated to a preview of new products from Ferris, including the SRS Stander models and the new Ferris 400S light commercial, zero-turn mower, which will be officially unveiled at Saltex in November. As part of the training, delegates could ride and drive all products on the specially designed Briggs and Stratton test grounds, as well as cutting grass and taking part in a time trial competition on a Ferris 3200 with a 72in deck.

Commenting on the visit, Clive Carter said: “This was an important sales training event for one of our major dealer partners. Ensuring that the Ernest Doe team is fully up to speed with our products is part of our overall growth strategy over the long term.”
