WELCOME TO ALL IN HEREFORD

by T H WHITE on June 1, 2019

Despite gathering storm clouds, T H WHITE Agriculture held its first customer open evening at the new Hereford Branch on 2 May.

The evening saw around 150 guests visit the depot, both existing and potential customers from the surrounding farming community. They had the opportunity to see behind the scenes at the branch, view our extensive range of machinery and meet our major suppliers including New Holland, Manitou, Kverneland, Lynx, Väderstad, McConnel, Sparex, Jensen, Kramp, MX Handling, HiSpec, Hardi and PLM alongside AgXtend.

Welcoming everyone to the event, T H WHITE managing director Alex Scott explained that the Hereford branch represented a new chapter for T H WHITE, taking on new staff and a new customer base, and he explained a little of the history of the family and staff-owned company, how diversity had been a core strength over the years, and that we intend to remain in Hereford for a long time. He went on to thank all the manufacturers at the event, in particular New Holland with whom we have had a relationship for over 100 years, and Kverneland who are new to us. Thanks also went to general manager James Ashworth and everyone involved in making the evening a success, supported by the excellent food from Haven Hog Roast and local craft beers from the Wobbly Brewery.

As well as collecting for Hereford’s St Michael’s Hospice, a raffle was held with an exciting collection of prizes. The first one out of the box, picked by Pat Smith, New Holland Business Director for UK and Ireland, was a pair of tickets for the 2019 Goodwood Festival of Speed. This was won by Anthony Dale of Hainstone Farm.

We hope that the evening’s conversations and networking lead to strong T H WHITE customer relationships in this new territory.
