SPIDER CLIMBS TO NEW HEIGHTS

by T H WHITE on July 1, 2019

Visitors to Safety & Health Expo at ExCeL London in June were fascinated by a large, yellow Spider, which took over stand SH1040 for three days.

This was not brightly coloured arachnid, but a Spider 2SGS remote controlled slope mower. It was displayed on a 55 degree gradient, highlighting the possible working angle of the mower with an integrated hydraulic winch, or 40 degrees completely independently.

Standard mowers can present extreme safety threats on steep slopes and high risk areas such as as alongside highways and railway tracks, beside waterways and reservoirs, or at airfields and military sites, but remote-controlled Spider mowers are ideal for all such situations.
