Parts Advisor

We are looking to recruit a Parts Advisor to join the team at our Parts facility in Falkirk. This role will provide support to internal and external customers with parts and ancillary product requirements.

Reporting to the Team Leader, you will be responsible for the effective picking/storage and receiving/dispatching of parts, identifying parts requirements, and dealing with incoming calls, emails and assisting walk-in retail sales counter customers.

Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am-4:30pm, Friday 8am-3:30pm (45 minutes lunch break)

Day to day duties will include:

  • Receiving and unloading new stock deliveries
  • Locating and ordering parts from product manufacturer when UK warehouse is out of stock
  • Providing estimates, invoices, and credits when applicable
  • Handling payment collections and ensuring all parts are billed correctly
  • Sourcing and managing new local and national cost-effective supply partners
  • Other general warehouse and site administration duties as and when required

The ideal applicant

  • You will be IT literate with good working knowledge of MS Outlook, Word and Excel, and in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Navision
  • You will have excellent communication skills
  • You will be a team player
  • You will be able to work under pressure and prioritise to meet deadlines
  • You will be able to network and build effective relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Fork-lift licence desirable
  • Previous parts or warehouse experience would be an advantage
