STRONG SHOWING FOR JENSEN AT CONFOR

by T H WHITE on October 1, 2017

The profile of the Jensen woodchipper brand continues to strengthen in the UK with the ongoing expansion of the dealer network and a growing presence at the UK’s most important arboricultural and grounds management exhibitions.

Jensen has been making some of the world’s finest woodchippers since 1884, embodying all the benefits of German engineering at its best, but it hasn’t always been easy for British customers to get the support this prestige brand deserves. Now, all that has changed with the establishment of Jensen UK, which is delivering these outstanding chippers, parts and service through an expanding dealership network across the country.

In early September Jensen UK attended the Confor Woodland show at the Longleat Estate in Wiltshire. Despite dark skies and intermittent rain, the Jensen marquee attracted many enthusiastic Jensen users who were able to see and discuss the latest innovations. Sales of the versatile and economic A530L petrol model have been rising steadily through the year and it continued to generate interest on the stand, where Bill Johnston of Jensen UK was assisted by Stuart Fry, Matt Textor and Mark Carter from local dealer T H WHITE Groundcare.

Alongside the A530L on the stand at Confor was the incredible Jensen A540 Spider. A long-standing Jensen customer, Peter Thomas of Woodland and Countryside Management, is already using a tracked A540 Spider which has class-leading ground clearance. When he called at the stand, Peter described how effective the machine has been on a large scale clearance contract for a private estate in North Yorkshire where the terrain is challenging. His staff also appreciate the A540’s industry-leading chipping capacity – more than 18 cubic metres per hour.

Feedback from customers at the Confor Woodland show confirmed that recent efforts in appointing new dealers has been welcomed. The growing national network underlines Jensen UK’s commitment to providing the very best ‘all round package’, including sales, parts and warranty support, all with a clear focus on assisting the end user.

The newest Jensen dealer, Andrew Symons based in Devon, has just completed its sales and workshop training. With the addition of Jensen woodchippers to their offering and the opening of a new depot in Crediton, Andrew Symons is building on its considerable groundcare expertise. Customers will have another opportunity to see the latest machines from Jensen and meet the experts at Saltex, NEC, on 1 and 2 November.
