Lambeth Palace, on the banks of the Thames opposite Westminster, has been home to the Archbishops of Canterbury since 1207. For many hundreds of years the Palace has been protected by high walls and a gatehouse, but the traditional security has now been augmented by a state-of-the-art digital CCTV scheme.

On behalf of the Church Commissioners, T H White has installed cameras which will be used to monitor those entering and leaving the Palace, as well as enhancing general security around the property.

Recording can be carried out continuously for more than 31 days thanks to the latest digital hard drive, which also allows remote viewing for staff through the existing computer network, even while the system continues to record.
