A new breed of co-operative grain store is emerging, and thanks to the inclusive and unique design and engineering approach taken by T H White, these stores are able to provide ever more added value to the food supply chain.
T H White began engineering and constructing Camgrain’s new Advanced Processing Centre in time for the 2007 harvest and development continues at pace. When the planned phases are complete, this facility will provide an estimated combined tipping pit intake capacity of over 1,500 tonnes per hour to service 90,000t of storage in both silo and on-floor bunker format. This capability will be supported by multiple continuous flow dryers, pre-cleaners, and fine cleaners as well as a dedicated clean room which will provide direct store-to-mill capabilities.
T H White has been a long standing and dedicated engineering partner for Camgrain. This already strong team has since been further enhanced by Camgrain’s partnership with the Grainfarmers group. This partnership has allowed Grainfarmers to secure a two-year agreement with Whitworth Bros Ltd to provide the 360 in-store bakeries of Sainsburys direct with flour from guaranteed traceable UK farms.
