“The reality is that I couldn’t have been more wrong. The biggest compliment I can pay them is that their support is even better than we previously experienced. Yes, they are a big organisation, but with a small company ethos.

 “Their attention to detail is second to none and in Alun Wright, who is responsible for our account, they have a committed and knowledgeable person who we can trust to provide sound and rational advice. But this goes beyond Alun and seems to be ingrained in the company; they are friendly, warm and approachable.

 “We’re in the process of exploring the possibility of reducing our cylinder mowing fleet and introducing more rotaries. Alun has been extremely helpful, organising demonstrations of the various types of rotary machines and taking the time to explain the pros and cons of each. His product knowledge is superb and we even use him as a sounding board for other equipment, outside of the grounds care field.

Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council run a large fleet of Ransomes mowers for maintaining the open spaces under their remit. Steve Featherstone is the Operations Manager responsible for grounds care operations in the Borough and appreciates that support from manufacturers and the local dealer is vital to the success of his operation.
